Organizers say that Ion Perez is still Mr. Universe Tourism 2018 pending his formal resignation from the organization. Prime Event Productions Philippines (PEPPS) Foundation Inc., the group that organizes the annual Misters of Filipinas contest, has said that it is fully aware that reigning Mister Universe Tourism Ion Perez has a child when he competed and won in the local male pageant.
