Quirino said that Mutya Pilipinas coordinated with the Philippine National Police under General Rhodel O. Sermonia for the half-day seminar. "This is really my dream - to empower women in that way. I don't want to happen to them what happened to me in 1995," she said. Quirino was referring to the incident when she, her driver, and an assistant were kidnapped by five armed men while taping for her TV show in Lake Caliraya, Laguna. Will hot cop PO2 Don McGyver Cochico give the pageant another try? "Actually iniisip ko pa po," says Cochico, who is assigned at the Polygraph Division at the Camp Crame headquarters in Quezon City. If his posts showing his well-built physique should be considered, then the six-footer cop is very qualified for the prestigious male pageant. And given the physical activities for the Mister World contests, Cochico will surely pass them with flying colors. Cochico, 29, represented the Philippines at the Manhunt International contest in 2016. Bessie Besana, general manager of the Mister World Philippines contest, says that they are ready to present the candidates of the male contest three weeks from now. This charming six-footer was discovered by Eton Concepcion, a talent scout who also works for the Philippine National Police at the Camp Crame headquarters in Quezon City. Cliche as it may sound, Cochico said that he joined the male pageant so that he could reach out to people. But this macho man would not have a hard time in doing that since he has been serving the public when he joined the police force six years ago. After his stint in the pageant, Cochico is slowly but surely making it in the fashion world. He has done runway shows, print ads and appeared on television shows. Despite his newly found success, Cochico is not leaving the police organization. So how is he doing these days? Sa...
