Top International Model of the World 2017 contestant Jay Daniel Verano is pouring his heart out to his passions and advocacies ranging from fitness to environment. Aside from fitness and environment, Verano is also into fashion, arts, culinary and scents. "That's why I came up with VISOCORPO, a one-stop shop that will showcase all my passions via F.A.C.E.S." Araneta Center lights up giant Christmas tree

Thousands of people turned out and cheered as cellphone cameras clicked when the Araneta Center in Cubao, Quezon City lit up last Friday night as it switched the lights on its iconic giant Christmas tree, a tradition that started in 1981. Thousands of people crowded the venue at the Times Square Food park on the premier lifestyle hub. It is the second year in a row that the 100-foot Christmas tree is housed on the food park on the corner of Times Square and Gen. Roxas Avenue. Villar cites innovations in seed technology

Sen. Cynthia Villar was keynote speaker and guest of honor during a field day showcasing the latest in seed technology and cultivation techniques, which was attended by 80 foreign delegates from 49 countries. Villar, chairperson of the Committee on Agriculture and Food, commended East-West Seed for its work to help small-hold vegetable farmers grow better crops and higher yield. With the theme “Better Seeds for a Better World,” the field day took place at the Villar SIPAG Farm School in Bacoor, Cavite. It is a post-Congress tour of the 25th Asian Seed Congress held last November 12-16. Bea Rose Santiago: 'I was molested by a priest'

Former Miss International 2013 Bea Rose Santiago revealed last Monday, November 12, that she was molested by a priest when she was a child. Santiago, 28, made the confession on Facebook as she points out that "sexual harassment is real not just in pageants but everywhere." Her full revelations: "I was molested when I was a child by a priest. He is still preaching somewhere in Masbate; "I was told 'why are you born too late! or sus sayang ka Bea, kong napanganak ka lang mas maaga' by a pageant guy winner. Mrs. Philippines Jenny Guinto won the Best in Talent award at the  Classic Mrs. Asia International 2018 held in Bangkok, Thailand recently. Guinto, 53, a former movie and television actress, won the special award for her heart-stirring fire dance and fire-eating stunts during the talent competition of the beauty contest. Filipino beauty queen nearly wins in Malaysia pageant

One day after Miss Ahtisa Manalo won 1st runner-up at Miss International 2018 contest in Japan last Nov. 9, another Filipina was crowned 1st runner-up at Miss Lumiere International World 2018 beauty pageant held in Johor Bahru in Malaysia last Nov. 10. Donna Marie Jan Balaor, 25, of Trece Martires, Cavite, finished second in the pageant in search of the luminous woman who cultivates a core of peace and self awareness. Last year, Sammie Anne Legaspi, now national director of Miss Lumiere Philippines contest, also finished 1st runner-up in the same pageant. Miss Belgium Olivia Talaronek was crowned Miss Lumiere International World 2018. Other winners were: Sri Lanka, 2nd runner-up; Zambia, 3rd runner-up; and India, 4th runner-up.
