Jay Daniel Verano pours his heart out for nature

Top International Model of the World 2017 contestant Jay Daniel Verano is pouring his heart out to his passions and advocacies ranging from fitness to environment.

Aside from fitness and environment, Verano is also into fashion, arts, culinary and scents. "That's why I came up with VISOCORPO, a one-stop shop that will showcase all my passions via F.A.C.E.S."

F.A.C.E.S. stands for F - (fashion), A - (arts and photo gallery), C - (culinary-inspired coffee shop), E - (environment which paves the way for the creation of Warriors of Nature); and S - (scents and soaps).

Verano explains that the word "VISO" is an Italian word that means face while "CORPO" refers to the body. Thus, the word  VISOCORPO.

"F.A.C.E.S is the amalgamation of my passions ranging from helping others stay fit, exploring entrepreneurial arts, expanding culinary skills, caring for the environment, and taking designer snapshots.," the good-looking entrepreneur says.

Verano adds: "By combining all of these values, VISOCORPO aims to design, develop, and deliver a range of quality products and services with a conscious effort to help other people and the environment."

VISOCORPO was created to embody that principle. With a strong belief to protect and value the beauty God has created... humanity... nature...the world around us.

"VISOCORPO is not only a vanity brand. It is a brand with a strong purpose to bring awareness about the environment and how we can protect it. Thus with VISOCORPO Scents for one, our flagship product, we have designed our men's Per Uomo line showing fresh leaves, as how a man should always smell...fresh as nature. On the other hand, our women's Per Donne line is designed to show flowers in bloom, as each scent recreates that same feeling."

VISOCORPO also offers a wide selection of handmade organic soaps which is not only beneficial to the one's face and body, but smells heavenly.

Last Nov. 10, Verano staged a successful fashion event dubbed "The Warriors of Nature Gala Night Fashion Show" held at the Icon Hotel Timog in Quezon City. It raised funds for local tribes.

"For many years now, 'The Warriors of Nature' has become a personal endeavor and commitment to serve and save the environment and the tribes of Norzagaray. Passionate about this cause, the journey continues. But we cannot do this alone;

"We need advocates like you to help make all these possible. Let's give the future a chance for the next generations to enjoy," says Verano.

The fashion event, he also says, was done in cooperation with Lions Club International to benefit the Dumagats of Norzagaray who have become caretakers of nature and would need a proper water system to sustain them.

In 2017, the event raised some P300,000 cash. This year, the gala show targetted P400,000, says Verano, former candidate to the Mr. Golden Universe 2016 in Brazil; and Mr. Imperial Universe Philippines 2016. Aside from Bulacan, the other beneficiary of the fashion show is the local tribe of Tuguegarao.

Verano is also into fragrance. He has produced perfume for both sexes: Per Uomo Italian (for men) and Per Donne Italian (women).

"I just love perfume! It makes me feel fresh. I just want to smell nice always, smell good, and feel good," he says.

Asked to describe his scent, Verano says: "It is sweet. It's full of love. My perfume smells fresh, light and easy on the nose."

Verano, 26, says 30 percent of the ingredients of the perfume are organic. "Usually, it takes a week to prepare one variant of fragrance."

Initially, the fragrance debuted Siquijor. Then it was distributed to Isabela and now Manila. Aside from the Philippines, the perfume is now distributed in Singapore.

"Through this business, I hope that I would be able to help a lot of people. I wish to inspire them so that they could come up with their own business someday," Verano adds.
