Samantha Ricalde wins Teen Face Beauty International
Samantha Iris Libo-on Ricalde won 1st runner-up in the Teen Face of Beauty International contest held in New Delhi, India last September 25.
Ricalde, 15, is a Grade 10 student at Angelicum College. Earlier, this teen from Binan, Laguna, who stands 5'8, won the Circle of 10- Walk To Fame contest.
Friends know Ricalde as cheerful, thoughtful and approachable. She also loves volleyball and reading books.
Samantha is the grand daughter of Ovette Ricalde, popularly known in the industry as Mother of All Pageants.
Miss South Africa was declared Teen Face of Beauty International. Other winners were Miss Siberia, 2nd runner-up, Miss India, 3rd runner-up; and Miss Ecuador, 4th runner up.
Other candidates who made it in the Top 20 semifinals were delegates from Estonia, Finland, Mexico, Thailand, Malaysia, Korea, Lesotho, Ukraine, Tonga, USA, Ireland, Puerto Rico, Spain, Russia and Denmark.

To prepare for the international contest, this 5'8 stunner trained under the Kagandaang Flores beauty camp of Rodgil Flores, the same team who groomed successful beauty queens Miss International 2013 Bea Rose Santiago, Miss International 2005 Precious Lara Quigaman, Miss Earth 2015 Angelia Ong, Miss Earth 2014 Jamie Herrel, Miss Earth 2008 Karla Henry, among others.
Cathy Mora-Capistrano designed the evening gown and national costume of Ricalde for th contest. The swimsuit was provided by Sony Boy Mindo and make-up by Norman Manuel. - ROBERT REQUINTINA
