The multi-sports event will feature sports organizations on fun run, amateur boxing, body building, power lifting, weight lifting, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, eskrima kali arnis, karate, taekwando, parkour, zumba, yoga and table tennis.
"Since our first event in 2014, each year then, thousands of athletes and sports enthusiasts from around the world and the Philippines continue to join us, and because of this vast growth, we are now expanding into new territories," said Mrs. Crosby.
Mrs. Crosby is a celebrity athlete, fitness enthusiast and body builder superstar who is the first Philippine International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB) Pro Card holder. She is also an IFBB professional athlete and a businesswoman who is currently studying for a Master's degree in Nutrition.
Yap identified one of the biggest challenges in the country's fitness industry these days.
"Here in the Philippines, fitness is not a necessity, it's kinda extra. The challenge there is how you can make them understand that it's a lifestyle or not just a trend or uso. But now, because of social media, it's pretty much there already," said Yap, who also coaches celebrities and manages Supplements Hub, a vitamins and supplements store in Quezon City.
Tai gave some advice to people who want to be fit and healthy.
"Don't be intimated by the gym. It's all about lifestyle. In food, one of the worst is sweets. But it doesn't mean that you have to avoid it completely. Avoid food with so much fat and cholesterol. I have cheat days on food, otherwise we are not human. There should be moderation and balance. But that motivates me to work out even more," said Tai, former co-host of the popular noontime show "It's Showtime" on ABS CBN.
