'Me? Darna?' Yen Santos laughs off talks on iconic role

The search for the new "Darna" continues with Yen Santos, one of the stars of the hit Kapamila primetime series "Halik", being quizzed by entertainment media recently if she would be interested to play the iconic role if offered to her.

"Ay! Wow! Naku po! Baka po puwedeng ako na lang 'yung bato,” Yen laughed when asked about "Darna" during the opening of the Brilliant Skin Essentials manufacturing plant owned by Glenda dela Cruz-Victorio in Barangay San Juan sa Morong, Rizal recently. Yen and actor Jericho Rosales were the guests of honor.

Yen continued: "Naku! Feeling ko po ano, hindi po iyon para sa akin.”

With "Halik" set to bid goodbye on primetime TV,  Yen said that she will surely miss the friendship she gained with her co-stars.

“One year mahigit naming ginawa yung show so siyempre yung friendship nandun na," she said.

Yen also said that the TV series will not be extended anymore. "Na-extend na po kami, maraming beses."

After "Halik, " Yen said that she will be busy in movies this time.

“Meron po akong ginagawang film ngayon, kaya hindi po muna magbabakasyon. 'To Love You.' Sana makapasok po siya for PPP [Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino]. Then after nun, bakasyon na rin, baka po sa States naman.”

Yen thanked all the fans of the TV series which also stars Rosales, Sam Milby,  and Yam Concepion.

"Super-duper happy and very thankful talaga na naging hit yung show and siyempre sobrang pasasalamat namin sa fans na talagang tinutukan kami from the very beginning. And sana ngayon, hinihingi pa rin namin ang patuloy na suporta nila, lalo na last three weeks na po kami," she said.
