Lady Grace hints at more exciting products

Lady Grace Intimates celebrates its 61st anniversary this year with more exciting products for women, men and eventually, hold your breath, kids!

"The anniversary of Lady Grace usually falls on the birthday of our mom Amelia. It's just a simple celebration with low-key activities," said Gonzalo Exconde, president of Lady Grace, during an interview at the gala fashion show of Vince Borja called "Timeless" at Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati City recently.

Lady Grace showcased its best-selling Shapewear Series in the high-end fashion event.

Grace Exconde, Executive Vice President of Lady Grace, also modelled one of the creations of Borja along with other socialites and business executives.


After Lady Grace apparel, the company is focused on another exciting product - men's line.

The men's underwear line which will be known as Fidel (in honor of the father of Gonzalo and Grace) is expected to be in the market either in November or December this year.

"It is not actually a launch. We will just test the market," said Gonzalo.

First to be available in stores under the men's line would be the classic underwear.


"The men's line has been on planning stage for more than five years now.  We have discussed the fabrics and designs. Now we are ready to present them," Gonzalo added.

Lady Grace and Fidel products go hand-in-hand as they were meant to be wed or partners, he said.

Soon, after Fidel has established its name in the market, Lady Grace may come up with undergarments for kids.

"So it's like a family affair. You have  men, women, and now kids. I still don't know if that will happen but that's our perspective. Who knows in God's own time. We will see, " Gonzalo said. - ROBERT R. REQUINTINA/Photos by Edmund Ong Chua II.
