Billy Crawford, Coleen Garcia to get married in 2018

Actress Coleen Garcia has revealed that she and actor-boyfriend Billy Crawford are getting married next year.

"We have a set date. I don't want to share it for now but it's definitely going to be next summer, next year," said Garcia, 24, during an appearance on "Tonight With Boy Abunda" on ABS-CBN.

Asked about the venue of the wedding, Garcia said: "We both love the beach but at the same time we also love the mountains, the garden, so it could be anywhere."

Garcia said that she and Crawford had just arrived from Africa where they had a shoot.

"We had a shoot (in Africa). That's why the people we love have something to look forward to," she said.


Garcia also said that they enjoyed their trip to Africa recently.

"There are many must-see places in Africa. It depends on what you like. What you want to see kasi I've only been to Kenya and Ethiopia. What I like about Kenya is really the animals," she said.

Garcia also revealed that Crawford is the jealous type.

"He tends to be the cheesier one. But I reciprocate naman," she said. "Seloso sya."

Garcia is also appearing on the new morning teleserye "Ikaw Lang ang Iibigin" which stars Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson.


The actress said that she is also looking forward to a married life. "I think we look forward to in taking care of each other kasi for many years, I have been taking care of myself. I wanna take care also of someone else."

She also said that she dreams of working with actor John Lloyd Cruz.

"John Lloyd (Cruz). I think every girl in this industry would love to work with John Lloyd. I'm a fan of his acting," Garcia said.

Asked to give tips on wedding preparations, Garcia said: "It's not about wedding, it's about the marriage. It's better to be able to save enough for the marriage rather than just for the wedding. So just spend what you can."

Crawford and Garcia got engaged in December 2016. They first came out as a couple in 2014.


It would be recalled that Crawford became close to Garcia when she became one of the mainstays of the popular Kapamilya noontime program "It's Showtime."

Before Crawford got engaged to Garcia, he was in a relationship with Nikki Gil who is now married to BJ Albert.

On December 21, 2016, during the airing of "Showtime," Crawford, 34, talked about the ring he gave to Garcia.

“Ngayon alam ko na ang pakiramdam ni Erwan (Heussaff). Alam ko na ang pakiramdam mo. It’s such a blessing talaga. Eighteen months ako nag-antay na ibigay sa kanya ang singsing dahil 18 months ago ko binili yung singsing na yon,” Crawford said. - ROBERT REQUINTINA/TEMPO
