All's well between Awra Briguela, Vice Ganda

Child star Awra Briguela has said that he was upset when his friend ace comedian Vice Ganda did not show up during the grand finals of "Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids" at Resorts World Manila last Sunday night.

Briguela, 14, expressed his disappointment after he was named grand champion on the reality show during an interview on "Tonight With Boy Abunda" on ABS-CBN.

But the child star was all smiles when he saw the post of Vice Ganda on social media which encouraged him to do his best during the showdown.

Ayokong may masabi sila na nanalo ka ng dahil sa akin," said Briguela, one of the child stars of the popular teleserye "Ang Probinsyano."

Briguela said that he really wanted to win because of the house and lot prize package.

At the finals, Briguela impersonated US rapper Nicki Minaj. In less than 24 hours, the child star's video on Youtube has already garnered 1.2 million views.

Asked about the most difficult part of impersonating Minaj, Briguela said: "Syempre po sa rap.

Briguela also gave his unsolicited advice to children who want to go into show business.

"Sa lahat ng mga batang gustong mag-artista, wag kayong mahiya na ipakita ang talent n'yo kung gusto n'yong maging katulad ko," he said. - ROBERT REQUINTINA/TEMPO
