Ara Mina frowns at showbiz career for daughter

Actress Ara Mina has said that her daughter is not joining show business for now.

"Ayaw ng tatay," said Mina during an exclusive interview at the sidelines of the Women's Journal Magazine outstanding women's award 2017 held at the Teatrino in Greenhills in San Juan City last Saturday night.

Mina has a two-year-old daughter Amanda Gabrielle with Bulacan Mayor Patrick Meneses.

The 37-year-old actress has just wrapped up a successful stint with the popular Kapuso afternoon teleserye "Pinulot Ka Lang Sa Lupa" where she played an antagonist.

'I'm in love with your smile.'

Mina also said that she did not have a hard time deciding to accept the teleserye despite having a growing up child.

"Hindi naman ako nahirapan sa shooting schedule ko kasi malaki na rin ang daughter ko, two years old na," she added.

Mina said that her bonding moments with her first child are mostly spent at home.

"Sa bahay lang naman kami most of the time pag wala akong showbiz commitments. Madalas katabi ko sya pag natutulog kami," she added.

'Mommy duties. It's her nap time. Ang bilis nya talaga makasleep pag nakasiksik sakin at hawak yung kamay ko. I love you sooooo much.'

After the television serye, Mina said that she would focus on television guestings and out-of-town shows.

"Guestings muna ako. May show ako sa Qatar and out-of-town gigs," she also said.

Mina also said that she might go back to movies again very soon. She added that another teleserye is in the offing but refused to reveal details about it.

"May mga offers na pero hindi ko pa nababasa yung script so hindi ko pa alam kung ano ang gagawin kong movie," the actress said.

The last time Mina appeared on the silver screen was in the blockbuster film "My Ex and Whys" starring Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil. - ROBERT R. REQUINTINA/TEMPO
