Beauties ready to rock Top Model of World PH contest
Sexy figures and model queen dreamers are expected to rock the stage in this year's Top Model of the World Philippines (TMWP) contest which will be held at the Resorts World Theater in Pasay City on May 12.
"The search and screening has started in various cities and regions of the Philippines,” said Miss Shyla Marquez, Marketing Manager of Slimmers World International Philippines (SWI).
This mutual partnership gives the go-signal to launch the TMWP 2017 with Miss Bikini Philippines 2017 in Metro Manila.
"It promotes cooperation among similarly situation event organizations with tourism orientation, promoting fashion and beauty of the Filipina," said Marquez.
This sizzling hot and glam event will kick-off with press presentation at the Diamond Hotel on May 9.
Caroline De Venecia, president of TMWP, announced that the Filipino Communities overseas are expected to field participants among their accredited overseas-partner organizations.
It has secured the cooperation of key pageant organizers among the overseas Filipino communities from the United States, Europe, and Asia to select deserving delegates to represent the Philippines in international competitions.
Started in 2006, the TMWP envisions to recognize modern Filipinas for their exquisite allure, intelligence, confidence and determination.
Model queen dreamers who look beyond the competition and willing to unlock the significance of being truly proud Filipinas, organizers said.
Some of this year's candidates are Natalie Lane, representing the Filipino Community of Western Australia; Nicole Watts, Filipino Community of Sydney; and Jade Lindsay. Filipino Community of Melbourne.
Last year, the finals of the Top Model of the World-Philippines contest was staged in Melbourne, Australia and managed by Face Australia Promotions management (the partner organization of TMWP in Australia.)
Natalia Lalonde, of the Filipino Communities of Southern California, won TMWP 2016.
First-runner up honors went to Kelly Mcilroy, of the Filipino communities of Toronto while Abigail Grisby, of Victoria, second runner-up.
Winner of the online contest was Shannon Kelly, who represented the Filipino communities of Western Australia.
