The ghosts that haunt actor Polo Ravales

Not everyone believes in ghosts but multi-talented actor Polo Ravales is one of those celebrities who have told tales about his strange interactions with the paranormal.

"I do believe in ghosts. Sa comfort room, nakita ko noon biglang tumaas 'yung cover ng toilet bowl," says Ravales during an interview for the story conference of the new horror-flick "Hipnotismo" under BG Productions International, Inc., held at Marco Polo Hotel in Ortigas recently.

Ravales, 36, will play a villain in this new movie which will be shot in Dumaguete starting December. He reveals his other ghost stories: "One time naman, naramdaman ko na may nagbaba ng kumot ko sa may paanan ko. Natakot ko nun. Marami pa kaming tao that time sa kwarto nun katabi ko mga brothers ko."

The actor adds:"Then nag da-dive kasi ako, so one time, nasa Anilao ako, may pumasok sa CR at lahat ng kasama ko tulog naman. May nagbukas ng pinto pero wala namang tao."

While he has no dream role in mind, Ravales says that he is excited to portray another villain role. "Marami kasing klase ng villain. So gusto ko pa rin gumanap ng isang villain at iba-ibang attack. Wala naman akong dream role basta I just wish na magkaroon lang ako lagi ng maraming projects. Lalo na yung mga importanteng role kasi villain ako dito."

Ravales also prays that one day he will penetrate the international market scene. "Minsan naisip ko mukhang kaya ko naman 'yung mga projects sa ibang bansa. I'm still praying for that."

The hunk actor, who was last seen in the popular Kapamilya teleserye "La Luna Sangre," has been in show business for many years now. Given the chance, he would also love direct a movie. "If I would direct a film siguro, gagawa ako siguro either drama or action, or action-drama."

Baby F. Go, producer of the film, says "Hipnotismo" will be directed by Joey Romero, who shot the hit horror movie "Vampira" starring Maricel Soriano. Aside from Ravales, other stars of the new movie are Beauty Gonzales, Enzo Pineda, Miss Universe 3rd runner-up Ariella Arida, Mr. World Philippines 2018 JB Saliba, BG talents Kate Brios, Wayne Calderon and Winter Calderon. It is co-written by Eric Ramos who also wrote the Metro Manila Film Festival entry "Rainbow's Sunset." - ROBERT REQUINTINA
