Miss World Philippines 2019 Michelle Dee is all set to represent the Philippines at 69th Miss World beauty pageant which will be held at ExCel Arena in London, United Kingdom on December 14. During press-send off held at Nanka Restaurant in Quezon City last Nov. 13, Michelle said that her mother former Miss International Melanie Marquez is part of her rigorous training for the Miss World 2019 pageant. An 18-year-old singer and ice hockey enthusiast will aim for a back-to-back win at the Miss Multinational pageant which will be held in India on January 21. Filipino-Canadian Kimi Mugford, the youngest among the current batch of winners of Miss World Philippines, said that she is not pressured at all to compete in the pageant because she has replaced pressure with excitement. "I've always replaced pressure with enthusiasm and the motivations to keep me going to vie for the crown. So that's how I have been dealing with pressure," said Mugford. Familiar faces, including cross-over beauty queens, are competing in this year's Miss World Philippines pageant in a bid to represent the Philippines in various international contests. Leading the cross-over beauty queens is former Bb. Pilipinas-Intercontinental 2017 Katarina Rodriguez. She was first runner-up at the Miss Intercontinental 2017 beauty contest held in Egypt. Former Pinoy Big Brother housemate Kim de Guzman is also vying for the title. More than 100 candidates from around the world will converge in the Philippines when it hosts for the first time the Mr. World pageant on January 27, 2019. Initially, Julia Morley, founder of Miss World Organization (MWO), announced on Facebook that the prestigious male competition will be staged in Manila on Sept. 16. "For me, it should be the traveler who should be responsible for their trash. If they're traveling, they should know how to pick up their trash and throw it properly. Everyone should be aware of how to take care of our planet because we only have one planet.
