Awra Briguela tops 'Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids'

Child comedian Awra Briguela was named grand champion of "Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids" during a jampacked show held at Resorts World Manila on April 9.

Briguela, one of the child stars of the popular Kapamilya teleserye "Ang Probinsyano," won P1 million cash, a house and lot, a trip for four to South Korea, a trophy and a medal.

The 14-year-old child star impressed the judges and the public when he impersonated US rapper Nicki Minaj and sang the hit song "Super Bass."


Briguela received a score of 95.41 percent during the final showdown.

Elha Nympha was second place with a score of 70.75 percent for her impersonation of Luciano Pavarotti.

AC Bonifacio who impersonated Sarah Geronimo was third place with a score of 57.95 percent.

This season's judges are Ogie Alcasid, Sharon Cuneta and Gary Valenciano.


Briguela has impersonated celebrities in previous episodes of the show namely Alice Cooper, Mommy Dionesia, Grace Jones, Daniel Padilla, Rihanna, etc.

Other kids who competed for 12 weeks during the program were Justin Alva, Xia Vigor, Sam Shoaf, Lyca Gainarod, and Alonzo Muhlach. - Robert R. Requintina
