Sylvia Sanchez admits being choosy on showbiz offers

Actress Sylvia Sanchez has said that she and her husband businessman Arturo Atayde have different parenting skills to their children.

"Ako kasi yung disciplinarian. S'ya (Art) yung sige lang. Ok lang anak. Pero pagnagkamali ka, problema mo yun. Solusyunan mo yun. Ibang istilo," said Sanchez, during an interview on "Tonight With Boy Abunda" on ABS CBN.

But Sanchez, 46, said that her husband does not spoil their children.

Lusutan nya yun. Ganun s'ya so nag mi meet halfway kami," she explained.

Sanchez added: "Kaya nagiging OK yung palaki namin like si Arjo, sinasabi mo, 'nak please wag mag drugs. Then malalaman mo ano ang mangyayari sayo."

After her stirring performance in the Kapamilya teleserye "The Greatest Love," Sanchez has said that she became choosy with her roles.

"Dun sa mapili, yes! May mga offers na tinanggihan ko talaga. So ano bang pwede kong ipakita na iba? Ako kasi pagnag tiwala ka sa akin ng isang role, gagampanan kong mabuti at gusto ko bawa't labas ko iba iba," she said.

Facing a big mirror on the late-night show, Abunda asked Sanchez about her biggest achievement in life.

"Pamilya, naitaguyod mo. Okay na yun!" she said.

Asked about her life when she was 26 years old, Sanchez said: "Ang dami mong pinagdaraanan nung 26 ka.

Sanchez believes that she's doing "a great job" these days in terms of personal life and career. - ROBERT REQUINTINA/TEMPO
