'Not done writing my story,' says Kathy San Gabriel
PTV 4 news anchor Kathy San Gabriel remains clueless on her termination from the state-owned televsion network as she pointed out that she is not done "writing my story."
"I was asked by an online magazine to write about my termination from PTV. I politely declined and said that I don't want that to be the highlight of my piece. I am not done writing my story," said San Gabriel on her Facebook post today, July 6.
San Gabriel aired her sentiments on a Facebook post last June 30, Friday. She posted:
"No words. I was informed by PTV management two days ago that today will be my last day at work.
"I was not given the dignity of a goodbye," said San Gabriel, who worked for the government network for 11 years.
Last Thursday, June 29, San Gabriel confirmed that her last newscast would be on June 30.
She said: "Ang daming nagtatanong through PM at text message. Totoo po, I was just informed last night that my newscast tomorrow will be my last in PTV."
"Maraming salamat sa inyong naging tiwala at pagsubaybay sa labing isang taon kong pagseserbisyo sa bayan," San Gabriel added.
Prior to this, San Gabriel posted work-related thoughts about working in media.
One of the posts read: "Sabi ng isa kong kaibigan, Kahit manalo pa sila sa lotto nang sampung beses, di nabibili at nareretoke ang budhi. Good night."
Good morning, it's a brand new day." - ROBERT REQUINTINA
