Mrs. Tourism beauty pageant launched
Another pageant for married women dubbed Mrs. Tourism was launched at West Avenue Suites on West Avenue in Quezon City recently.
Pageant organizer Ovette Ricalde said that the winner will be the face and voice of the pageant's advocacy to stop racial discrimination and promote her own social platform.
Mrs. Tourism pageant will crown three queens: Mrs. Tourism Earth, Mrs. Tourism International and Mrs. Tourism Universe.
"The winners will be known as 'Mothers Who Care for the World.' The contestants will take part in various preliminary competitions such as cooking and even changing diapers," said Ricalde.
Some 35 delegates are expected to arrive in the Philippines for the inaugural pageant which will be held from October 17-27, 2017.
Ricalde has held the franchise for Mrs. World, Mrs. Globe, Mrs. Universe, Mrs. Earth, Mrs. Asia International and Mrs. International Global, etc.
He has been handling and discovering any national beauty queens from 1989 to 1999 and eventually got involved with Mrs. World as the longest-running licensee for the original pageant for married women from 1999 up to the present.
Vice Mayor Ina Alegre, who also represented the Philippines in the 2015 Mrs. Universe contest, also graced the event. She congratulated Ricalde for his latest achievement in coming up with another pageant for married women.
