Eighteen official candidates of the 2018 Jewel of the Philippines (JOP) beauty pageant were formally presented to the members of the media, pageant sponsors and invited guests at the Skydeck Hall of Madison 101 Hotel and Tower in New Manila, Quezon City last Oct. 18.

This year’s line-up of candidates include beauties from provinces and cities as far as Bukidnon, Misamis, Camarines Norte, Northern Samar, Ilagan City and Nueva Vizcaya. This batch is composed of university students, local pageant winners, a university professor and four candidates of the recent Miss World Philippines contest.

“We are very much delighted and happy that we are able to gather a very strong batch of candidates this year, though this is only our third year.  The tremendous support and positive feedback were are getting gives us more motivation and inspiration to make this advocacy-driven pageant an avenue for growth and development and opportunity to shine globally and make the country proud;

"I’m likewise thankful to our pageant sponsors, regional partners, pageant handlers and the media for their support” says John de la Vega, one of the country’s noted beauty queen makes, founder and President of Jewel of the Philippines and Jewel of the World pageants during the media presentation.
