Filipino-British talent sets sights on local showbiz
A Filipino-British girl who has been making waves in singing, dancing and pageantry abroad has joined local show business after she signed up for a local talent management.
Amelia James, 12, has signed up for Angles Arts Entertainment and Recreation Ltd. Co. headed by Tatta Saguin, also a national pageant director.
"Amelia is eager to start her showbiz career in the Philippines. With her immense talent and beauty, she's got what it takes to be a star here," said Saguin.
Some of her achievements include: Little Miss Camella 2014, Miss Junior Singapore 2019; bronze awardee, singing contest, Asian Arts Festival in Hong Kong last Jan. 2019; gold awardee, dance competition, Asian Arts Festival in Hong Kong, also in Jan. 2019; platinum awardee, singing contest, B-Dazzled Music Festival in Singapore; platinum awardee, dance competition, Got The Beat Singapore.
Amelia has performed for several corporate events such as NU Skin Asean Summit and AXA anniversary. She also performed at the Korean-Singapore Expo, the charity dinner at Changi Jewel and the Childaid Concert in Singapore organized by Dick Lee for the benefit of the poor children and youth.
She is a member of Singapore Children Show Choir and a MADDArtiste at Maddspace Academy.
"Amelia is scheduled to undergo a series of acting workshops. She will also try the digital platform," Saguin said. Her parents are Les James and Jean Acla James from Pagadian City. - Robert Requintina
