Richard Gutierrez, Angel Locsin to reunite for new film

Star Cinema has announced on Instagram its latest project which will star Angel Locsin, Richard Gutierrez and Angelica Panganiban.

"Bagong-bago 'yung nangyaring team-up ngayon especially kasama namin si Richard. So ito hindi naman first time ni Angel makatrabaho ako and kami (ni Richard) first time namin magtatrabaho so ibang-iba talaga. Ibang flavors, ibang klaseng team-up 'yung makikita," said Panganiban in an interview published on Star Cinema's website.

"Bago ko pa narinig 'yung story and all, ang sabi nila sa'kin 'Are you willing to work with Chard and Gel?' Ang sabi ko 'Ok! Anong oras 'yung call time ko?' 'Yun na agad 'yung nasagot ko," Locsin said.

Locsin also said that she missed working with Panganiban and Gutierrez who she worked with in previous projects.

Locsin and Gutierrez previously appeared together in films namely "Mulawin The Movie," "The Promise," and "Mano Po 6: Gua Ai Di."

Gutierrez said that it feels good to be back again in Star Cinema where he last wrapped a movie entitled "For the First Time" with KC Concepcion in 2008.


"I'm very very excited about this project of course ang daming firsts. First time ko makakatrabaho si Angelica and after 10 years makakatrabaho ko si Angel. For the first time (and) dito sa Star Cinema pa," he said.

Gutierrez added: "So it's very exciting. I consider this a new chapter and I'm very excited about this project."

Director Ruel Nava said that Locsin and Panganiban will play sisters-in-law in the movie.

"This is the story of sisters-in-law na magkakaroon ng conflict na may konting infidelity and 'yun 'yung magko-cause ng rift dun sa relationship ng sisters-in-law," said Naval. ROBERT REQUINTINA/TEMPO
