iFranchise marks its 2nd year, goes global

iFRANCHISE Business Services Corporation President Krizzia Loyang-Tanabe announced that her company is going global in 2020 as the firm successfully celebrated its 2nd anniversary at Okada Manila in Paranaque City last Dec. 19.

"We will expand globally. We already kicked off in Singapore and Dubai and launched the businesses there. We had road shows and we got a lot of franchises already. We already booked road shows in India, China and the US," said Tanabe during an interview moments before the program started.

A former overseas Filipino worker, Tanabe was emotional when she recalled her humble beginnings.

"I came from Catarman, Northern Samar. At 21, I worked in Singapore in the food and beverage industry. Trabaho at kayod lang din doon walang na-iipon. So when I came back to the Philippines, I opened a business. Nag-franchise ako so alam ko iyung feeling ng franchisee," she said.

"It's not easy to have this kind of business. As we go global, we had lots of struggles along the way, especially logistics. But at the end of the day, if you have the passion to do your business, you always put your heart to care for the people, the franchises;

"We've been running the business two years already. And we are proud that we are close to 1,000 branches nationwide. We're not just limited to food. We also have iFuel, a gasoline stationed that we opened in Marawi City recently. We also have a branch in Nueva Ecija. Now, we are preparing to open in Pampanga, Cebu, and Bukidnon. At the end of the year, we already have five branches;

"We also have the Faces and Curves clinic which is already 19 years in the industry. We just opened in BGC. We will open in Cebu. We also have Salon Expert. Those are some of the businesses that we launched and partnered;

"We have 10 concepts which is very millennial. We have more that 20 categories of businesses: Food Caravan (close to 1,000); iFuel (5), Faces and Curves (2), Salon Expert (4). All of these happened in 2019;

"Thank God when we launched it, tinanggap ng masa. Dumami agad. On our first year, I think we already have 500 branches all over the Philippines." Tanabe said.

Among the celebrities who celebrated with Tanabe were Pop diva Malu Barry, Bossa Nova Queen Sitti, Syrian singing sensation Mohammed Alnazemy, actor Daniel Matsunaga, Junior New System Dance Group, and Queenie Padilla.
