Queen of Hearts Foundation, Inc. spreads holiday cheer to media friends
Taking time out of their busy schedules, the Queen of Hearts Foundation, Inc. led by the beautiful and benevolent Mitzie Go Gil spread the holiday cheer to friends of Core Pageant Media at the Red Cloud Karaoke Family KTV at Manhattan Parkview in Araneta City on Dec. 14.
Joining Gil to entertain media guests were Mrs. Asia Pacific Global 2019 Avon Morales, Liena Tan, Mary Chris Abacahin, and Xiamzzy Dy.
Good food and raffle prizes reigned the joyous holiday event which also served as birthday celebration of Gil, former Mrs Asia Pacific 2018. There was also an exchange of gifts among those who attended the party. They queens also gave individual gifts apart from the holiday gifts prepared for the media.
"Maraming salamat po sa lahat ng nagpaunlak sa aming invitation. At this point, we are inviting you to attend our thanksgiving event at Sheraton Manila Hotel at Resorts World Manila on Dec. 22," said Gil in her short message to media friends.
Gil also hinted that she would make a very important announcement during the "all-white" thanksgiving affair.
"I will make an important announcement on that day. I hope you won't miss it," said Gil, national director of Miss Queen of Hearts Philippines pageant.
When asked to give clues about the big announcement, Gil simply smiled at media's queries.
Media quests praised Gil and her team for their kind heart and efforts to come up with a festive Christmas party.
"Kung hindi lang mabait si Mitzie hindi na ako pupunta rito," said a mediaman who braved the heavy traffic on his way to the event. "At least sa event na ito, hindi patay-gutom ang tingin nila sa media."
Morales said that she was so happy at the turnout of guests during the party.
"You just don’t know that we’re more happy to see you all... Akala ko nga nung una, konti lang ang pupunta.. But i was so happy and surprised to see you all (almost complete). We missed those who weren't able to come due to heavy traffic and conflict with other appointments. Di bale, maraming next time.. Love ko po kayong lahat. True yan! Not fake!" Morales also said.
Manila Standard pageant columnist Eton Concepcion and Morales were named King and Queen of Hearts for their attractive red attire.
Early bird winners who won cash prizes were Timmy Basil (Sunstar Cebu), Robert Requintina (Manila Bulletin), Mel Caparas (Tempo), Joy Arguil (Fab Philippines) and tied for fifth place, Ferdinand Abejon (Missosology) and Atorni Ton (DzRH TV), who hosted the gleeful affair.
Armin Adina (Philippine Daily Inquirer), Jay Patao (Malaya Business Insight), Celso Caparas (Philippine Star), Edmund Ong Chua (Chinese Journal), Basil, Arguil, Caparas and Atorni took turns in showing their vocal skills via entertaining numbers.
Also joining the fun were Lito Caleon (Fab Manila), Noli Berioso (OPMB Worldwide) and Ameer Emir (Missosology).
Ana Manansala, public relation's manager of Gil, dropped by the party as she treated media guests to love songs and special prizes.
The party people feasted on delicious food like lechon, fried chicken, pancit, steamed shrimps, calamari, fried lumpia, pork with bagoong, rice, unli drinks, and chocolate cake.
