Domz Ramos kicks off gift-giving activities for street children



Domz Ramos, official swimwear designer of the Binibining Pilipinas beauty pageant, plays Santa Claus again this year to kids as his annual "Ma-Barbie Doll ang Pasko Caravan" kicked off in Lipa City, Batangas last Dec. 17.

Now on its fourth year, Ramos started to give away dolls and toys to street children in nearby provinces. The kids were also treated to merienda.

"It's my humble way of giving happiness to the street children this holiday season," said Ramos, during an exclusive interview. The event is done in cooperation with WEMSAP under Wilbert Tolentino.

Other schedules of the gift-giving activity are: General Trias Cavite, Dec. 20; Aeta Community of Zambales, Dec. 21; Aeta Community of Bataan, Dec. 22; Candelaria, Quezon, Dec. 23; and San Andres, Romblon, Dec. 28.

Ramos recalled the first time he gave toys to the street children after he won the contract as the official swimwear designer of Bb. Pilipinas beauty pageant. "I am blessed with the Bb. Pilipinas contract. That's why I want to share my blessings."

In the first year of the caravan, Ramos and his team distributed 1,350 toys. For the second year, his team handed out 3,500 toys. "This year, our target is to make some 5,000 kids happy."

Aside from being the owner and head designer of DR SWIM, Ramos became the head fashion stylist during the 2016 Miss Universe cultural terno show in Vigan in January 2017.

Ramos has appeared on several television shows as source speaker on fashion and beauty pageants. He has staged fashion shows abroad.

Celebrities supporting the gift-giving event include: Bb. Pilipinas finalist Hannah Arnold, Mr. Global Philippines 2019 Ricky Gumera, It's Showtime Bida Man Wize Estabillo, Ms. Global International 2016 Cj Hiro, Indonesian superstar and Pinoy celebrity Teejay Marquez, etc.
