Are you ready for Man of the World 2017 contest?

The Man of the World is a new international pageant that promotes education with touching base on career development.

This competition is created by Prime Event Production Philippines Foundation, Inc. (PEPPS) which has a vast experience in organizing and producing world-class pageants in the country.

"The advocacy that the winners (and even candidates) shall embark on is to become an example of masculinity with responsibility - through partnerships with different educational institutions and systems to promote the value of education and career development," said PEPPS president Carlo Morris Galang.

P/Inspector Christopher "Chris" Dulagan is the Philippine representative to the inaugural Man of the World 2017 finals on July 29.

JP Anonuevo, PEPPS events project head, said that this is the first time that a winner of a prestigious male pageant will wear a crown.

Anonuevo said that that he has been tapped as one of the designers of the crown.

Galang announced the major highlights of the Man of the World 2017 contest.

* National Costume Parade and Competition - All the candidates will parade in their national costumes. This will usher in the start of the pageant and the first event that will select the winner of the Best in National Costume.

* Press Presentation - The candidates will be officially presented to the members of the press.

* Official Sashing Ceremony - The candidates will receive their official sashes in the competition.

* Advocacy Ceremony - This is a unique ceremony to symbolize and promote the pageant's advocacy.

* Fashion of the World - All the candidates will walk the fashion ramp wearing high fashion outfits from their respective countries.

* Fashion Show - The candidates will be wearing the creations of the best designers.

* Charity Auction - The candidates are expected to bring a gift from their country for auction.

* Talent of the World - This is one of two fast-track events of the pageant. The candidates will showcase their talent in front of the judges and the public. The winner will automatically enter the semi finals in the coronation night.

* Web series - The journey of the candidates leading to the finals will be documented in a web series.

* World's Choice - The second of two fast-track events for the pageant. The global audience will vote for their favorite candidate in the pageant. Whoever wins will automatically enter the semi-finals.

* Fashion Shoot Challenge - The candidates will be shot in unique concepts by the country's top photographers. The winner will receive a special award during the finals.

* School Tours - The candidates will be visiting schools to promote activities like reading or career talk.

* Preliminary Competition - This competition will be the basis in selecting the semi-finalists. The candidates will compete in three categories - swimwear, formal wear, and interview. - Robert Requintina
