Piolo, Toni to reunite for new film project
Three years after their blockbuster movie "Starting Over Again," Kapamilya stars Piolo Pascual and Toni Gonzaga-Soriano are set to star in another film project.
Pascual and Gonzaga shared the good news after they emerged from the story conference of their still-untitled movie, during an interview on "Tonight With Boy Abunda" on ABS-CBN recently.
"Basta exciting. Ang tagal-tagal kong naramdaman 'yung ganitong excitement sa isang pelikula," said Gonzaga who refused to reveal other details of her new film.
"Nakakatakot na iba. Bago for all of us," Pascual added.
Gonzaga also said that she is happy that the cast would be given enough time to make their latest movie together really good.
She added that she is not imposing any cut-off during shooting of the latest film even if she is a mother now.
"Hindi naman kami everyday mag-su-shooting. Yun ang maganda sa project namin. Hindi kami bugbog kaasi you are given enough time to finish and make the movie really good," said Gonzales, whose latest movie will be directed by Bb. Joyce Bernal.
In September 2016, Gonzaga and husband director Paul Soriano welcomed their baby boy Severiano Elliott.
"Starting Over Again" is one of the biggest-grossing movies in Philippine cinema after it earned more than P410 million in box-office receipts.
Following their breakout film, Pascual and Gonzaga were supposed to reunite for a television series "Written In Our Stars."
But the production for the new serye was delayed when Gonzaga announced that she was pregnant.
The new ABS-CBN teleserye also stars Sam Milby and Jolina Magdangal.
Pascual has completed the movie "My Northern Lights" with Yen Santos under Regal Films. It will be shown this year.
Gonzaga has just returned for her hosting chores on "Pinoy Big Brother." She has been hosting "PBB" since it started in 2005.
The last time Gonzaga appeared on the silver screen was in 2015 in "You're My Boss" with Coco Martin.
She is also seen in the weekly Kapamilya sitcom "Home Sweetie Home" opposite John Lloyd Cruz. - Robert Requintina/Tempo
