Get ready for actor-model JC Tan

Actor-model JC Tan is slowly but surely making it in local show business.

JC, 27, first went viral when he appeared in Smart Telecommunications Youtube series "Break Barriers" in 2016. Then one offer led to another.

Following his successful stint as a mainstay in ABS CBN's "Inday Bote," JC appeared in "Pahina" with Kiray Celis, the short film "Dahon" under the Hero Foundation, TV5's "Amo," "Right To Kill" which was directed by award-winning director Brillante Mendoza and now "Sandugo" in Kapamilya network. He's also got tons of print endorsements.

JC is enjoying his showbiz career the hard way. "Mas masarap makuha ang isang bagay kung ito ay pinaghirapan mo."

He doesn't mind playing bit roles side by side with the big stars of local cinema. In  the daily afternoon teleserye "Sandugo," JC portrays a sidekick to actor Aljur Abrenica.

Soon, JC will be seen in a biopic that tackles the heroes of SAF 44. It stars award-winning actors Allen Dizon and Judy Anne Santos.

When not busy, JC likes to keep himself fit by hitting the gym. He's also careful about what he eats so he indulges into healthy stuff such as broiled bananas, fruits and vegetables.

JC also loves driving the motorcycle and road trips. "I love road trips. It gives me a wonderful feeling of freedom and thrill."

This guy with a devilish smile is single and he doesn't mind girls (and even gays) swooning over him when they ask for autographs or selfies from him.

"I am not looking for a perfect girl. Hindi ako naghahanap ng super gandang babae. Basta mabait, maayos sa buhay at siyempre dapat mahal rin niya ako. Okay na sa akin yung. Simpleng babae na gusto rin ng simpleng buhay tulad ko," said JC.

Ana Manansala, publicist for JC, said that the upcoming actor will be busier in 2020. "You'll be seeing more of JC in the coming year, aside from his appearances on movies and television." - ROBERT R. REQUINTINA
