Strike a pose! 36 vie for Global Asian Model PH Search 2019

Thirty-six gorgeous candidates - 15 men and 21 women - will compete at the inaugural Global Asian Model Philippines Search 2019 which aims to produce the next top Asian supermodel.

"Let us discover the next runway, print, commercial model," said pageant guru Jonas Antonio Gaffud as he presented the official finalists at Empire Studios at Uptown Mall, Bonifacio Global City in Taguig City.

The official candidates are (male category): Jhay Mark Ronquillo, Cass Gumapas, Carlo Tingcungco, Mitchell Agapito, Afshin Azar Hamed, Unique John Lico, Michael Franco Bertumen, Benedykt Kaszuba, Jason Tan, Drigo Francia, Matthew Tananggee, Mico Teng, Daumier Corilla, Cheovy Castillo, and Mar Conrad Camacho.

Female category: Danielle Nicole Rosario, Martina Angela Joaquin, Bianca Apuya, Milissa Grande, Christelle Agustin, Daina Nelson, Claire Rosas, Elaiza Alzona, Charmaine Davis, Taryana Alexi Austria, Gerlaine Silva, Jasmin Ariola, Honeylou Nierras, Ashley Montenegro, Asha Gutierrez, Ma. Isabelle Ortega, Patrisha Gutierrez, Courtney Buenaventura, Hannah Quiohilag, Isabelle Alves, and Beatrice Santos.


The finals of Global Asian Model Philippines Search 2019 will be held at Okada Manila in Paranaque City on Dec. 13.

"Ultimately, winners of Global Asian Model will be fielded to international competitions for the year 2020, namely, Global Asian Model International, Manhunt International 20th Edition, the inaugural Miss Charm International and Mister Global International 2020, for a complete and strong international exposure," said Gaffud.

It was Gaffud who groomed international beauty queens Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach and Miss World 2013 Megan Lynne Young. He is also the creative director for Miss Universe Philippines Brand under IMG Universe.

Gaffud added: "Global Asian Model aims to discover fresh talents for entertainment, pageantry, and fashion. Those who will be chosen will get the guidance and training of reputable and respected names in the industry to bring out their full potential."

Manhunt International remains to be the most esteemed male modeling competition in the world, he said.

"One winner from Global Asian Model Philippines shall be awarded Manhunt Philippines and will get the chance to represent our country in the much-awaited 20th Edition to be held in Manila in January 2020," Gaffud said.

Vincent Llorach of Spain will be passing on his title during the international competition.

Adding another title to the Global Asian Model Philippine Search is The Supermodel International to be held in Chiangmai, Thailand in 2020.


"Supermodel International is a global event integrating every woman’s beauty, talent, and cultural communication," he also said.

The inaugural edition of Miss Charm International will be held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam from January 3rd to 20th, 2020.

Miss Charm International is an event that emphasizes the beauty of the soul, intelligence, talent and image of women all over the world.

"I hope I can make them international models. We give cash prize but here, we guarantee them jobs. This search is not just for modelling. It is also for entertainment. May nakikita ako sa kanila na puwedeng mag-host, maging beauty queen, or artista. A lot of my friends in the fashion industry will really help them out," said Gaffud.
