Mary Eileen Palencia Gonzales, of Cavite, a Star Magic artist of ABS CBN, bested 18 other contestants in the 5th edition of the pageant that advocates women empowerment and tourism and accepts contestants who are single, unmarried mothers. The Miss Global Philippines beauty pageant launched Bio Luce shampoo and conditioner products as one of its major partners for this year's beauty contest during an event held at the West Avenue Suites, Quezon City last May 26, 2017.
