Villar: 'I humbly apologize'
Senator Cynthia Villar has apologized for her remarks on the distribution of financial assistance to the middle class. Villar issued a statement of apology on May 20 after she questioned the giving of cash aid to the middle class during the COVID-19 pandemic. She said that the middle class still receive their salaries even during lockdown, that's why they do not need financial assistance. Her remarks did not sit well with the members of the middle class.
