South African crowned Miss Tourism Beauty of the World 2019

A beauty queen from South Africa was crowned Miss Tourism Beauty of the World 2019 during a competition held in Palawan over the weekend. Devoney Crossman, 27, a human resources payroll manager in Johannesburg, said she was thrilled to win the crown because her hard work paid off. "I am so grateful for winning the crown. Excited for what the year will bring," said Crossman. Asked about her impressions of Palawan, the new beauty queen said: "It just exceeded my expectation. I was inspired by the warm hospitality of the people of Palawan and awed by its pristine and untouched beauty. I am inspired by the passion to promote eco-tourism."
