Miss PH Youth Int'l graces Niyogyugan festival 2019

Reigning Miss Philippine Youth International Rikki Mae Abuel Dela Pena graced the annual Niyogyugan festival in Lucena City, Quezon where sat as one of the judges in its festival competition. "It was such an honour for me to sit as one of the judges for the street dance competition at the Niyogyugan festival," said Dela Pena. "It was really a fun-filled event and seeing the Quezonians smile really makes me happy as well. Their hardwork and teamwork were very inspiring," she said. The teen queen who just graduated from college thanked the local officials for their warm welcome. "I would like to thank Hon. Aleta Suarez, Governor Danilo Suarez and Hon. Gerald Ortiz for inviting me and for trusting me as well," she said. "I really appreciate your hospitality. It was my first time to witness the Niyogyugan festival and I really enjoyed it. Feng shui master warns of disasters during Ghost Month

Asians began to observe the Hungry Ghost Festival on Aug. 11 until Sept. 9 as a popular feng shui master warned about the possible occurrence of a strong earthquake within the annual festival based on Chinese astrology. "This 2018, the Ghost Month is intense because it's the year of the Young Earth Dog. It's a double young earth which signifies a possible strong earthquake," says feng shui Master Hanz Cua during an exclusive interview in Mandaluyong City. Cua forecasts that the strong earthquake might strike in the northern part of the earth or northern part of the Philippines. "Why north? This year, the Three Killings and the Five Yellow affliction are located in the north. 'Turismo Filipina' 2018 pageant to promote local festivals

A national beauty pageant which aims to promote local festivals via tourism has been launched in Quezon City. Rexner F. Rubio, founder, said that 25 candidates will compete for the national title of the inaugural Turismo Filipina 2018 beauty contest. "Through this pageant, we will be able to promote the local festivals in various regions. This contest will serve as vehicle in promoting tourism in the country. Kaisa ang Turismo Filipina sa kanilang advocacy," said Rubio in his speech, during the press launch held at West Avenue Suites in Quezon City last February 10.
