New Reyna ng Aliwan 2019 named

A beauty queen from Baguio City has assumed the Reyna ng Aliwan 2019 title after the original winner was stripped of the title allegedly for violating the terms and conditions of the pageant. Roi Neve Comanda, who represented the Panagbenga festival, won 2nd runner-up during the Aliwan Fiesta celebrations last April, as announced by Manila Broadcasting Company (MBC). "I am so happy because the last time Baguio City won was in 2006. This is a wonderful gift to our city," Comanda said. She was crowned by Reyna ng Aliwan 2018 Chelsea Fernandez. Comanda, 20, is a student at the University of the Cordilleras taking up accountancy and business administration. As Reyna ng Aliwan, she will tour the country and grace festivals. This is the first time that a Reyna ng Aliwan winner was stripped of the title in the 17-year history of the pageant.
