Pageant crown or P1-B jackpot? Kelvin Vicente makes his choice
Newly crowned Mister Universe Tourism Philippines 2018 Kelvin Aguilan Vicente says he would rather choose the pageant crown than winning the P1.2 billion lottery jackpot. The 26-year-old Igorot hunk was crowned Mister Universe Tourism Philippines 2018 during a pageant held at the RCBC Plaza in Makati City last October 17. Vicente, of Baguio City, edged out 18 other male candidates for the inaugural title of the pageant. He will represent the Philippines at the Mister Universe Tourism pageant in Manila in May 2019. Vicente has been a favorite in the finals after he won four special awards: best in formal wear, best in travel attire, Mr. Camp Tipolo, Mr. Fashion Institute of the Philippines and Mr. Bellnue. During press presentation days before the finals, Vicente was asked: "Which would you rather have, winning the Mister Universe Tourism Philippines or winning the P1.2 billion lotto jackpot?"
