Western Visayas top cop bats for drug-free province
Brigadier General Rene Pamuspusan, Police Regional Office-6 director, has vowed to continue its intensified campaign on illegal drugs without let-up in Bacolod and Negros Occidental. This after some P23,180,153 worth of shabu was confiscated in Western Visayas based on data from the regional office from June 27 to July 27 this year. Of which, the bulk of shabu came from Negros Occidental (P13.8 million), Bacolod City (P9.2 million), and P162,653 worth of shabu were seized from the provinces of Aklan, Iloilo, Antique, Guimaras, and Capiz. This is a big achievement considering that Pamuspusan only started his two-year tour of duty last June 27. “Expect more confiscations.
