Chriz Dulagan excited to show warm Pinoy hospitality

Police Inspector Christopher "Chriz" Comicho Dulagan is all set to conquer the world as he represents the Philippines in the 1st Man of the World 2017 contest which will be held in Manila on July 28.

"Yung physique okay na. May mga kaibigan ako na nagbabato ng mga tanong. Nagsi-seek ako ng advice sa kanila para matulungan nila ako sa question and answer portion," said Dulagan during send-off dinner for him at the Raging Bull Chophouse and Bar-Shangri-la at the Fort in Taguig City last Sunday, July 16.

Dulagan said that he is very excited to represent the Philippines and to show the warm hospitality of the Filipinos.

Asked about his thoughts on the other contestants, Dulagan said that he has seen their photos on social media.

"Pero siguro makakapag-assess ako sa mga kasama ko pagnakita ko na sila ng personal," the police officer said.

Dulagan believes that discipline would also make him a standout in the field of 40 male candidates from around the world.

A native of Mountain Province, Dulagan is currently part of the Philippine National Police Aviation Security Group, Terminal 1.

Carlo Morris Galang, president of the Prime Event Productions Philippines Foundation, Inc. or PEPPS, also assured all the arriving candidates that the Philippines is a safe place.

"We have coordinated with the authorities on the safety of our delegates. But I want to assure them that they are safe here," said Galang.

The send-off dinner was hosted by the Board of Trustees of PEPPS. Guests enjoyed the sumptuous dinner and wine-toasting to honor Dulagan.

During the competition, Dulagan will wear the artistic creations and designs of Edwin Uy and Olan Roque for his national costume and formal wear, respectively.

Dulagan said that he is offering his stint to the male pageant to his mother Lutgarda. He said that he has no girlfriend these days. - ROBERT R. REQUINTINA
