Gabriel Barcenilla drops new song 'Mira' on Spotify



Filipino-American singer Gabriel Barcenilla is winning the hearts of music fans once again following the release of his new song "Mira" on Spotify.

Barcenilla, dubbed the Prince of Spotify, thanked his fans continued support as he gets himself busy in shooting for the music video of  "Mira."

“Someday, I want to be famous as a signed artist of an international label/music company. And at the same time, as a familiar face to households around the world, and as a TV commercial model,” Barcenilla said in a recent interview.

Barcenilla, 27, was named Best New Artist at the USA Mixed Tapes Music Awards, popularly known as AZMT Music Awards.

His song "Timeless" which was featured at stereostickman.com has been streamed more than 1 million times. Not far behind is his other song "Fallen" has been credited with over 800,000 streams.

Just recently, Barcenilla opened for musical acts K Camp (Interscope) and Shordie Shordie (Warner Records) and Journey frontman Arnel Pineda in Arizona.

Gabriel was born in Mandaluyong City on Nov. 12, 1992. His parents were recruited by the US for their special achievements.

His dad is Rogelio P. Barcenilla Jr., a renowned Chess grandmaster when Eugene Torre was battling it out with the Gary Kasparov, Anatoly Karpov, Bobby Fischer and other world Chess champions. His mom, Lilibeth Lee, was also a Chess Olympian. - (Robert R. Requintina)
