Pauleen Luna excited to be a mom

Actress-television host Pauleen Luna has said that she is excited to be a mom moments after her husband television host-actor Vic Sotto announced on national television that she is pregnant.

"Finally, a bun in the oven! Can't be more proud and excited to be a mom 👶🏻 thank you to my handsome for surprising me with this announcement 😂 THANK YOU LORD FOR BEING SO GRACIOUS!" said Luna, 28, on Instagram as she posted a video of her husband's announcement on "Eat Bulaga" on GMA 7 last Saturday, May 13.

Last Saturday, Sotto, 63, initially joked: "Pilipinas at buong mundo – na buntis ako." Moments later, Sotto got serious.

"Hindi po ako. Ang aking asawa ang buntis. Ang aming pong hiling ay dasal para... sa tagumpay ng aming anak. Lord Jesus, thank you very much," said Sotto as he stood next to Luna.

Sotto broke the good news as his co-stars on the popular noontime show threw a post-birthday for him.


It's the first time for Sotto and Luna, 28, to have a baby. They got married on January 30, 2015.

On Sept. 2, 2015, the couple confirmed that they were engaged. They have been dating for four years.

Sotto, 63, has four children from previous relationships - Danica and Oyo Boy were his children with former wife actress Dina Bonnevie; Vico, with Coney Reyes and Paulina, with Angela Luz.


There are now two pregnant women in the noontime show. Pia Guanio is also pregnant with Steve Mago.

Previously, Guanio and Sotto were romantically linked to each other for five years. They called it quits in 2010. - ROBERT REQUINTINA
