'PNTM' Cycle 2 contestants rock media launch




Runaways, go-sees, dashing outfits and a little bit of drama are just a few of what's in store for you as Philippines Next Top Model (PNTM) Cycle 2 graces your TV screens.

But before making its way into your homes, PNTM rocked its media launch, the way it should be through a fab fashion show.

This cycle, PNTM will put the spotlight on high street fashion and trends that reflect the style of the millennials. Expect to see clothes that will inspire your daily OOTDs and up your Instagram game.

The show will also bring back the original spirit of model mentorship from the early Top Model shows, emphasizing model skills training from industry experts.  Expect to see the contestants walk the runway to top model status as they learn the skills needed to be at the top of the fashion game. From posing, creating the runway walk, characterization, art direction and many more, the show  will be an educational experience for the models and an entertaining primetime show for the viewers as well.


Held at the Bonifacio High Street, the launch served as a walk-through of what's in store for the newest season of PNTM: the awesome host, amazing judges, and of course, the fierce contestants.

Valies, 21, Bacolod City; Angela Lehmann, 25, Bicol; Alvie Mai Duelas Phan, 21, Alabang; Petche Ann Vale, 20, Bohol; Jan Helen Villanueva, 24, Bulacan; Adela Mae Marshall, 19, UK; Emma Jane Ribot Ekberg, 19, Sweden; Shekinah Danquah, 23, Cagayan de Oro; Katrina Garcia, 22, Antipolo; Pauline Thea Ann Esguerra Ibuyan, 18;

Koleen Angela Mercado; Alex Santos, 20, Calamba; Anna Angelica Sotto, 25; Janine Barnedo, 23, Albay; Ina Dominica Guerrero, 23; Gracia Elizabeth C. Mendoza, 1, Batangas; Janelle Bianes Olafson, 27, San Diego, California; Janilyn Medina, 20; Blaise Marie Zuraek Buendia, 20, Chicago; Reichellue Emory, 21, Pasig City; Krizzaleen Mae Valencia, 23, Davao; and Sarah Jane Montilla Edwards, 23, Manila.



The launched was graced by one other PNTM Cycle 2 host Maggie Wilson-Consunji, who was crowned Binibining Pilipinas World at the 43rd Binibining Pilipinas pageant.

Also joining the PNTM launch was reigning Miss International titleholder Kylie Vezosa who will serve as mentor of the contestants.

Joining the event are this season's panel of judges which includes Philippine Models Association of the Philippines (PMAP) president Rapha Keifer, who was named Best Model of the World Philippines and MTV Fashionista Best Model of the World Philippines 2004.

Another PNTM judge for this cycle is Meg Magazine editor-in-chief Rain Dagala. He is also a stylist to many local celebrities.



At their premier walk as PNTM contestants, they strutted in different ensembles: Swimwear by Wear Sandy Cheeks, ready-to-wear clothes from Basic Movement bu Esme Palaganas, Athleisure by designer Kaye Morales, High Fashion clothes by Pat Santos. The model contestants also had their Oppo Smartphones to complete their fashionable looks.
