New Miss Philippines Earth finally got her crown and sash but how?

One day after Roxanne Baeyens was proclaimed Miss Philippines Earth 2020, the Filipino-Belgian stunner finally got to pose with the prized possessions every beauty queen would love to have: the pageant crown and sash.

But how did Baeyens get to wear the Miss Philippines Earth crown and who crowned her?

On July 5, the artist-model from Baguio City was announced as Miss Philippines Earth 2020 in the first-ever virtual presentation for a popular pageant.

At the end of the show which was broadcast over GMA 7 around 12 noon, we could only see Baeyens and her elemental court smiling without their victory sash and crown.

It was the first time that a pageant winner wasn't crowned during the finals. Outgoing Miss Philippines Earth Janelle Tee was part of the show but did not pass her crown to Baeyens.

Everyone in the show was practising social distancing as part of the preventive measures on COVID-19. The segments of the pageant were taped via Zoom. Even the telecast judges worked from the comfort of their homes.

So how did Baeyes get her crown?

"The crown was picked up by Roxanne's boyfriend on Sunday morning," sources said. The show has been taped so Baeyen's boyfriend has all the time to pick up the crown for her at Carousel Productions in Mandaluyong City.

It could be Baeyen's sweet boyfriend who put the crown on her head. - Robert Requintina
