Who will win the 1st Global Asian Model World Finals 2019?

Thirty-eight male and female models with Asian heritage will compete in the first Global Asian Model World Finals which will be held at the Cove at Okada Manila in Paranaque City on Nov. 21.

"Thirty-eight models from different countries will compete for the ultimate male and female models who will win cash prizes and guaranteed modeling placements in Manila, Singapore, Bangkok, Los Angeles, New York," said Jonas Gaffud of Empire Studios, during a welcome party held at the Cove Beach Club over the weekend. It is co-presented by Frontrow Philippines.

The Philippine representatives for the modelling competition are Vince Lenard Marcelo and Ella Eiveren Lubag. They emerged as the first winners of Global Asian Model Philippines search last year.

"Since then, they have become sought-after models in the Philippine fashion scene," the pageant guru said.

"We welcome 38 candidates from 20 countries, where we highlight contestants with Asian heritage in a competition showcasing the glamour of modeling," Gaffud said.

While Gaffud became a popular mentor of international beauty queens Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach, Miss International Kylie Verzosa and Miss World Megan Lynne Young, he initially became active in the modelling world.

"It's like going back to your first love which is modelling. Active na ako nuon pa sa modelling industry before I got busy in the pageant world," said Gaffud.

These days, many Asian models have become at the forefront of modelling world for popular brands abroad, he said.

"Asia has become the forefront of fashion where a lot of today’s seasoned models have Asian lineage, Eurasians, Pan-Asians, North and South American Asians; truly, Asia has conquered the world," said Gaffud.

The winners - male and female - will get the guidance and training of reputable and respected names in the industry to bring out their full potential," Gaffud added. (Robert R. Requintina)
